I want to bring our Indonesian helper to Europe this chinese new year because my mom needs to be in wheelchair due to recent sickness. Can we apply for Schengen and UK visa for the Indonesian helper from Hong Kong and if yes, where and how long? Please please help and as much details as possible.

You have to take your helper to the British Consulate in Central to apply for the U.K. visa, as for the Schengen visa, because it would allow you to travel through Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden etc., you have to apply for the Schengen visa at one of the above country's consulate in Hong Kong. It is advised that it is better to apply in the country where you plan to stay the longest but from what I heard, the French Embassy can be difficult. You can also check out this site: http://www.eurovisa.info. Best of luck because Indonesian Passport can be problematic but if you hit a wall in one consulate, go to another one immediately.
