I plan to work in Hong Kong and I am a US permenant resident (not citizen), should I pay tax to the US?
Hi, I plan to work in Hong Kong for a few years and wonder if I still need to pay tax to the US as a permanent resident. For example, the greatest benefit of working in HK is its low rate of income tax. Should I pay additional tax to US government even though I am not a US Citizen and don't reside in the US for a few years? Yes, I wan to come back to the states in a few years for sure so I want to keep my green card. Thanks for your information.

All US citizens and permanent residents are to report their worldwide income. To alleviate possible double taxation, you would be able to exclude up to $91,400 (2009 rate) if you meet all of the qualifications, plus housing, as well as foreign tax credit for taxes paid to HK gov't. Check out IRS Publication 593: http://www.irs.gov/publications/p593/ar01.html

All iPhones 4 use micro sim cards. If you want an iPhone 4, you will have to cut down your sim. Instructions are on the web. There are also sim cutters available. Since Hong Kong iPhones are factory unlocked, they will work with any sim as long as you correctly cut down the sim.

yes it will

yes it will work, the power supply is multi voltage and will regulate anything between 110v and 240v, others. As to the WiFi you need to be in range of a hot spot or as you say at a friends house. What it does mean is that it will connect to any wireless signal that is unsecured (i.e. has no password to gain access) or to one that you have the password for.

The Votage requirement can be met using a transformer or if the company supports range of voltages....as for wifi...u need the password for the wifi in the range of ur frnds or anyone else..it is absolutely free,...u can use the programs provided u are in wifi range....

you need to join the yahoo group maganak. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MAG-ANAK/ Ray Bacon will answer all your questions. It shouldn't be a problem. Just petition her as a fiance and she should be here within 4-8 months. That is, unless there is another delay at USCIS again.
2 :
You need to show that this is a valid courtship. When applying for the K-1 visa, you need to show photographs of them dating, wedding plans, e-mail love letters, phone records showing that they have called each other, etc etc. She can try to enter the US by applying for the B Tourist visa, but this can be very difficult to obtain since you need to show that she plans on returning to HK after her visit to the US. If she enters the US on the B Tourist visa, then she can apply for the marriage based Green Card. There is no guarantee that the GC will get approved.

You could petition her thru K-1 visa. She could be interviewed in the US Embassy in HK but she must be provide police clearance and Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) from the Philippines.Provided that both of you satisfies the requirements for a K-1 visa petition it will not be hard.I suggest you join the Philippine forum in www.visajourney.com as I've known some couples there who are in K-1 visa process whose Filipina fiancees are working in HK.They could give you more insights and experiences as you are in the same situation. Good luck.
4 :
If you're asking how hard it would be to get a tourist visa, then the answer would be pretty hard, especially if the Filipina in Hong Kong was working there as a domestic. It would be hard to show that this person intended to return. But, if you're talking about a fiance visa, then it would be no different than it would be for anyone else.

Try any department store with a linens department. Additionally, you can check the Temple Street Night Market, the Ladies Market, Stanley Market, etc. All of them sell tablecloths, etc., but I don't know the specifics on whether or not they have round ones. Good luck!
2 :
Shops in Nathan Road in Tsim Sha Tsui sell tablecloths. You can also try the groceries in Harbour City and in Joyce, both are in Tsim Sha Tsui, too.
3 :
Stanley market, Mongkok, TST, Wing On, SOGO, Central there are LOADS off placess! Good luck
4 :
Yeah, you can buy it on the busy street near a residential district.
