Your question does not make sense. anyway, you need to check with the chinese embassy about the appropriate visa to visit mainland China.

Visa from any bank. But note is better.

You only need a Visit/tourist VISA. There is a multiple entry VISA that is valid for 1 or 2 years, and you can enter China for multiple times. As long as you don't need to overstay, and you are not planning to work in China. This should be good for you.

If you are staying in Shenzhen, you can get a restricted visa that permits you to stay only in Shenzhen - you will not be allowed to leave the city unless you are returning to HK. These visas are much less expensive than the visas you need to leave Shenzhen. Because Shenzhen is a SAR and borders HK, these special arrangements have been made.

Joe said everything. A few of the wrong other replies: Longest visa you get nowadays is 6 month. Most travel agent will not handle USA passports USA passports can not get a visa at the Lowu border USA passports can not get the special 5-day Shenzhen visa. The visa office in Wanchai is for you the place to go. OK, longest visa is 6 month, but if you are a permanent HK resident you can apply for a 3 year visa - or apply for an APEC business traveller card that also lasts for 3 years.
